How much does it cost?You have the ability to try Mark Mate, completely free as an individual teacher or as part of a group. If, after your trial, you are happy to continue you can choose to pay monthly or annually. Will this actually save me time?Short answer, yes! By removing the need to handwrite your marking comments, and allowing you to mark multiple students at once, the average Mark Mate user reports saving 6-8 hours per week! - Seriously!

How does the free trial work?When creating an account with Mark Mate, you will need to add a payment card but don't worry, no payment is taken! After completing the registration form, you will gain instant access to Mark Mate and can use everything completely free for 30 days. You can cancel your free trial at anytime directly through 'Billing' in the main menu. After 30 days, you will begin being charged £4.99/month. There is no fixed term and you can cancel active subscriptions at any point.

Do I need to buy a label printer?Label printing is a great way to provide feedback in books, but it's not the only way to use Mark Mate. You can still print feedback easily and quickly using a normal printer or even send feedback to students via email. We find most of our users try Mark Mate first, experience the time saving, and then make the decision to use a label printer or not.

How is this different to just using dictation on my computer?Mark Mate has been built with teachers in mind. Our platform fits seamlessly into the way you work to ensure it helps with all aspects of marking and formative assessment. All of your marking feedback is stored in your online Markbook, which can be printed instantly without the need to format text or fiddle with tricky settings. That's why we offer a free trial, so you can really experience the difference first hand.

What label printer do you support?We support any label printer, but we highly recommend using any of the Brother QL series printers due to their print quality, speed and reliability. If you already have a label printer, you're good to go. Don't have a printer? Don't worry, you can still use Mark Mate without one. If you like it, you can always purchase one at a later date from our online shop.
